Day 1

Journey to Europe. Board your overnight flight and arrive in Madrid on the following morning.

Day 2

Your Joshua Expeditions tour guides will meet you at the Madrid airport. After checking into your hotel, the group will visit the Prado Museum which houses many works of renowned European artists, including Goya, Velazquez, and El Greco. In the afternoon you'll enjoy a guided walking tour of Madrid that will include the Puerta del Sol and the Plaza de Espana with the monuments to Don Quixote and Sancho Panza. You will also see the historic Plaza Mayor.

Day 3

This morning the group will journey by bus to ancient Toledo to visit the city's gothic cathedral and the Church of Santo Tome. From there you'll make your way down to Granada at the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas.

Day 4

In the morning the group will tour the Alhambra Palace with its beautiful Moorish architecture. Nearby is the Gereralife Gardens, where the Moorish kings spent their summers. After a guided walking tour of Granada in the afternoon, you'll have some free time to explore the Plaza Nueva and the Cathedral Square. Late in the day the group will travel to Seville.

Day 5

Today you will take a walking tour Seville, the capital of Andalusia, and enjoy seeing the Plaza de Espana, Marie Luisa Park, and the Seville cathedral. In the afternoon you'll walk through the old Santa Cruz quarter and explore the Old World streets, then have opportunity to further exploring the city. In the evening the group will head to Costa del Sol.

Day 6

This morning you'll travel by boat across the Strait of Gibraltar to Morocco for a guided sightseeing trip in this North African country. Following lunch you'll have a chance to shop in the local markets or just relax on the beaches of Costa del Sol.

Day 7

After a morning departure for Cordoba, you'll enjoy a tour of the Mezquite, the masterpiece of the Moors. This ancient mosque was later transformed by Christians and is still used today. You'll have some free time for shopping and exploring before stopping for lunch and then heading north back to Madrid.

Day 8

After an unforgettable journey through Spain and Morocco you will board your return flight home from Madrid.
