Day 2
Today you will travel to the beautiful Olympic Peninsula where you will spend the day hiking and exploring in the majestic Olympic Mountains. In the late afternoon, depart Port Angeles by ferry for the charming Canadian "Garden City" of Victoria on Vancouver Island. Victoria has often been referred to as being "more British than Britain." In the evening, walk along a beautiful path by the ocean overlooking the Olympic Mountains, where you can see firsthand the "purple mountain majesty", and out to the end of the Dallas Point Breakwater which extends into the Strait of Juan De Fuca. End the day with devotions.
Day 3
Visit the Parliament Building and other sites of Victoria's Inner Harbour, including the 100 year old Empress Hotel, with optional afternoon high tea, and Canadaís oldest China Town. Also, see Orca, killer whales, up close and personal as you ride around on Zodiac boats! End the day with devotions.
2nd Alternative: Take a guided historical tour of Fort Rodd Hill, a coast artillery fort built in the late 1890s to defend Victoria, and Fisgard Lighthouse, which is the oldest lighthouse on Canadaís west coast, built in 1860.
3rd Alternative: Spend an afternoon or a day in Goldstream Provincial Park: Massive 600 year old trees, majestic waterfalls, a meandering river that meets the sea, abandoned goldmine shafts, flowers, birds and fascinating fish are but a few of the attractions that draw people to Goldstream Provincial Park. More adventurous hikers can climb for an hour to the top of one of the highest points in Greater Victoria - Mt Finlayson. Another trail leads you to stunning Niagara Falls, which cascades 47.5 meters down a rock cliff into a crystal clear canyon pool below which is almost as high as its famous namesake. Riverside trails and observation platforms provide extraordinary opportunities to view this natural paradise, which also attracts more than 100 Bald Eagles each January, who swoop down to devour the bodies of spawned out salmon. Park Rangers are available as guides to make this an incredible, educational experience.
