Day 1
Your group will depart its home city on a plane bound for New York City! Your Joshua Expeditions guide will meet you at the airport and transfer with you to the hotel for a short orientation session. The group will later embark on a walking tour of Midtown Manhattan and the surrounding neighborhoods to see such famous and historical sites as St. Patrick's Cathedral and Rockefeller Center (the home of NBC's Today show). Your day will conclude with dinner and a devotional time in preparation for your mission projects.
Day 2
The next three days are set aside to help one of the city’s many ministry agencies, based on your group's goals and qualifications. In the evenings you will have some time for sightseeing in Manhattan before concluding each night with group devotions.
Day 3
You will spend the morning at your ministry site, sharing the love of Christ through volunteer tasks. In the evening there will be opportunity for more sightseeing and perhaps even a Broadway show. You will finish the night with a time of devotion.
Day 4
Your ministry project will conclude today, allowing for one last opportunity to develop the relationships built over the past few days. In the evening you will spend time in Manhattan, visiting the sites that make New York City famous, like the Empire State Building. The night will end with group devotions.
Day 5
On your final day in New York City, the group will enjoy a ferry ride past the Statue of Liberty to Ellis Island where you will learn about early immigration to the U.S. Later, your group will set out on an urban hike to visit Wall Street, the New York Stock Exchange, Federal Hall, St Paul's Chapel and Ground Zero. A time of prayer near this moving memorial will wrap up your time in the city.
