Day 1
Your Joshua Expeditions guide will meet your group in Galveston, and then you will head over to Moody Gardens to explore the rainforest and aquarium. This will be your introduction to marine ecology. The group will spend the afternoon discussing the Gulf of Mexico's fragile aquatic ecosystem before closing the evening with a time of devotions.
Day 2
This morning the group will head to the beach for the day and do net pulls to study intertidal fish and phytoplankton. In the evening, you will have a squid dissection lab followed by a time of devotions.
Day 3
Today the group will travel a few hours to New Braunfels to snorkel in the Comal River and study aquatic ecosystems. The visibility in this river is usually about 40+ feet! You will be able to experience a night snorkel in this same river to study nocturnal arthropods, such as the fresh water prawns that only come out during the night. Devotion time will conclude the day.
Day 4
After some shopping time in Gruene, Texas, the group will head home.
