Day 1

After arriving in Seagrove Beach you will begin exploration of the Gulf Coast area. The group will check into its accommodations then explore area shops and even the film location of The Truman Show. In the evening you will participate in a night wade and explore God’s creation in the inter-tidal zone, using nets to catch a large variety of ocean life to examine and release. Your day will close with evening devotions.

Day 2

During the morning the group will go kayaking and explore a shallow bay ecosystem in the Emerald Coast Salt Marshes. Following lunch, you will snorkel at Saint Andrews State Park (weather permitting), and you will see the beautiful undersea world that the Lord has created. Here, the group will perform another net pull to identify the many gulf and tropical fish. A second option for the afternoon would be a time of ministry at the Panama City handicapped retirement center where you will enjoy creating arts and crafts for the elderly residents. In the evening the group will participate in squid dissection before rounding out the day with devotions.

Day 3

This morning your group will worship at an area church, then head out to sea in the afternoon to interact with the wild porpoises that make their home off Shell Island. You will be able to see firsthand how these marine mammals play, feed and interact. In the evening you will have time to shop and fellowship at the Pier Park.

Day 4

Following breakfast, your group will board the bus and head to Waterfront Rescue Missions to spend the morning in volunteer service. You will assist with tasks like sorting clothes, food and equipment, as well as serving meals to the homeless and sharing the love of Christ through fellowship. This ministry time will conclude your days on the Emerald Coast.
