Day 1

Take your overnight flight to Europe!

Day 2

Arrive in Rome where your Joshua Expeditions guide will be waiting for you at the airport. The group will transfer to Florence in the beautiful Tuscany region of Italy, and proceed to visit the massive church called the Duomo and view Ghiberti’s Gates of Paradise and Giotto's Bell Tower. You'll enjoy dinner that evening in an atmosphere only Florence can provide, then stroll through Ponte Vecchio and other famous shopping areas of Florence before closing the day with devotions at the hotel.

Day 3

Following breakfast the group will tour the Galleria dell'Accademia, where you will see the towering statue of David. You will have opportunity today to spend some time inside the Duomo, and you may even opt to climb the tower leading up to the top of the Duomo for a spectacular view of Florence! The evening will wrap with devotions at the hotel.

Day 4

Today you will once again enjoy the hills and countryside of Italy on your return trip to Rome. In the evening the group will make its way to the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain before closing the day with devotions at the hotel.

Day 5

You will have your first chance today to tour the Eternal City of Rome! Time will be spent visiting the 2000 year-old Colosseum, the Arch of Constantine, the Arch of Titus, and the ancient Roman Forum. You will also tour Mamertine Prison, known as the traditional site of St. Paul's imprisonment while in Rome.

Day 6

Today the group will travel to Vatican City and visit St. Peter's Basilica. A highlight of your day will be going through the Vatican Museum and seeing the Sistine Chapel — home of Michelangelo's Last Judgment and other masterful works. Here you will also enjoy a study of Catholicism and its impact on Christianity.

Day 7

Homeward bound after an amazing week in Italy!
