Day 1

Your Joshua Expeditions guide will meet you upon arrival in Honolulu. After a time of orientation, you will be able to familiarize yourself with Hawaiian life as well as Waikiki’s beach and shops. The evening will close with devotions and group discussion time to reflect on all that you experience during the day.

Day 2

This morning you will have opportunity to enjoy surf lessons on Waikiki Beach or take a ride through the waves in the outrigger canoe. During the afternoon, the group will hike to the top of Diamond Head crater for magnificent views of Oahu and Waikiki, and then the day will close with dinner and devotions in the evening.

Day 3

Your day will begin with a performance at a local church or other ministry. In the afternoon, you will have fun at the beach! You might choose to play volleyball, build sandcastles or simply work on your tan. Other optional activities include parasailing and renting a surf board. In the evening, your group will enjoy a traditional Hawaiian feast filled with lavish food and spectacular dances! (Fees for optional activities are not included in the price of the trip.)

Day 4

This morning the group will head out to Turtle Canyon via catamaran. You will be able to snorkel among turtles and other marine life and then enjoy an offshore cruise. In the evening the group will volunteer in ministry with H-5, Hawaii Helping the Hungry Have Hope, assisting them in feeding the homeless. You will also have the opportunity to share your musical gifts with the people, known as the largest population of homeless per capita in the U.S. Devotions will round out this rewarding day.

Day 5

The group will head out this morning to Manoa Falls and hike the most amazing primary rainforest found in Oahu, Hawaii. In the afternoon you will visit North Shore’s Waimea Beach to view some of the most spectacular surfing in the world! Home to waves as high as 30 feet, the beach is the location of the world’s largest surfing competitions. In the evening you will prepare for another concert in the Honolulu area.

Day 6

On your final day in Hawaii, you will experience an important part of U.S. history as you tour Pearl Harbor and the USS Arizona Memorial. On this unforgettable visit, you will see 30 minutes of actual film footage of the attack on Pearl Harbor, and then you will be taken on a Navy launch to board the memorial. The Arizona Memorial sits atop the sunken hull of the battleship USS Arizona and commemorates the tragedy of December 7, 1941. In the afternoon there will be a chance for some last-minute shopping before it will be time to depart for home.
