partnering in ministry with Champfleuri Bible Camp, South France

Day 1

Board your overnight flight to Lyon, France, or Geneva, Switzerland!

Day 2

Your Joshua Expeditions Guide will meet you in the airport, then you will board a private coach and start your journey to the Christian Retreat Camp tucked away in the French Alps near Grenoble, France. You’ll have an orientation of the camp and continue preparing for your role as counselors. In the afternoon, you’ll have opportunity to take a little hike of the area, followed by dinner before heading off to bed for the night.

Day 3

Today you will meet your campers and dive into almost two full weeks of sharing Christ through your role as camp counselor. You will use activities and classroom instruction to weave Truth throughout each day.

Day 4

The Christian Retreat Camp hosts children’s retreats each year in the summer and serves also as a Bible School for college students and adults. Your ministry will be focused on helping French youth learn English through classroom instruction and outdoor activities.

Day 5

Your daily ministry may include English instruction and challenges aimed at relationship and team building. Each activity will offer a platform to demonstrate your faith and the love of Christ.

Day 6

The relationships you build with the campers will assist you in sharing your faith on a daily basis. You might find opportunities while hiking or maybe after today’s classroom instruction.

Day 7

Today will conclude the 7-day itinerary. The group will head to the airport for the return flight to the U.S.

If your group chooses to extend the trip for an additional week, today’s activities might include rock climbing or repelling, among other outdoor sports. You will use every activity as an opportunity to share Christ through words and deeds as you continue building relationships with the youth.

Day 8

In your role as counselor, you will have unique opportunities to share the Gospel with the youth. You will find time throughout each day, both scheduled and unscheduled, to demonstrate your faith and the Truth of God’s Word.

Day 9

There are many activities included in camp life, and each one will allow you to weave Truth into the events of the day. You will want to watch for opportunities in both the classroom and the games and competitions in which campers will participate.

Day 10

This second week of ministry will provide multiple opportunities to deepen the relationships you’ve been building with the campers and to continue to show them the love of Christ.

Day 11

Your ministry continues today through classroom and outdoor activities. Look for every opportunity to share the Gospel with whomever you encounter today.

Day 12

Through continued relationship and team building activities, you will be able to help the campers understand the love of Christ and how it can be lived out in every situation.

Day 13

Today is your final day of ministry with the French youth. You will want to use every minute to underscore the teaching and testimony you’ve shared throughout your time in the camp.

Day 14

After 13 amazing days spent in ministry through the French Alps, it’s back to the U.S.!
