Day 1

Arrive in Washington, D.C. in early afternoon. Your group will be greeted at the airport by a Joshua Expeditions representative, then you will head to the homeless mission housing. Following an orientation session, your group will assist the mission with preparing and serving dinner to the homeless community of the area. Later, you will have the opportunity to see the nation's capital at night before heading back to the mission for a time of devotion.

Day 2

Each morning the group will help the mission prepare and serve breakfast to the homeless community. Afterward, you will head to a food warehouse to help sort and bag food for needy communities around D.C. Over 2000 families receive much needed healthy food every month through the ministry of these groups. The group will head out for night-time sightseeing in the evening, then return to the mission for shared devotions and a time of reflection.

Day 3

The day will begin with breakfast service at the mission, then the group will head back over to the food warehouse. After a full day of sorting, bagging and distributing the food, you will return to the homeless shelter to help prepare and serve dinner. You will have more time in the evening to take in the sites of the city before returning to the mission for devotions.

Day 4

On this final full day of ministry, you will begin the day serving breakfast at the shelter then return to the food warehouse to continue your service there. Your ministry will bring much-needed hope and joy to the people you serve. Later, the group will return to the homeless mission to assist with dinner service, then head out for one last night of sightseeing in D.C. Your last night of devotions will conclude the day.

Day 5

This morning you will assist the mission with the breakfast service then say your goodbyes. After some last minute sightseeing and souvenir shopping, it will be time to head home.
