Day 1

Arrive in Dallas where you will meet your Joshua Expeditions guide and then begin your tour at 6th Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. After some time learning about the life and death of President John F. Kennedy, you will check into your hotel. There will also be time to visit such sites in downtown Dallas as Reunion Tower and Pioneer Plaza. In the evening you will attend a hockey or baseball game and enjoy dinner on your own at the game. (Your group might opt for a dinner show at Medieval Times instead of the sporting event.) Devotions at the hotel will conclude the day.

Day 2

This morning you will head to Fort Worth and visit the Fort Worth Zoo, the oldest continuous zoo in Texas and one of the top-ranked zoos in the nation. Following lunch you will head to Fort Worth Botanical Gardens for an exploration of the many gardens there. Later, you will also go to the Stockyards, the only place in the United States that features a daily cattle drive! Twice each day, Texas Longhorns are driven down East Exchange Avenue in the heart of the Stockyards. Keep your eyes out for the bronze markers laid into the sidewalk that mark the Texas Trail of Fame throughout the district. After dinner at Sundance Square, the group will head back to the hotel for a time of devotions.

Day 3

Your day will begin with a visit to the Dallas World Aquarium, which represents the waters of 4 continents, 3 oceans and various seas and contains over 85,000 gallons of saltwater marine life. The aquarium also features 3 biospheres with animals and plants from different parts of the world. While there you will learn about God’s intelligent design in nature and how everything has a reason and a purpose. Later, the group will visit the Nasher Sculpture Center, which is one of the few institutions in the world devoted to the exhibition, study and preservation of modern sculpture. In the afternoon you will visit the Dallas Museum of Art, which recently celebrated one hundred years of connecting art and people. Afterward, the group will board the McKinney Avenue Streetcars for a sightseeing tour of uptown Dallas. Dinner will be followed by devotion time at the hotel.

Day 4

Following breakfast, the group will depart for Glen Rose to explore Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, where you can see animals living in their near-natural environment. Located just over an hour from Dallas, the 1700 acres of open space will allow you to interact with deer, rhino, giraffes and other wildlife, and you will see long-distance views of savannah-like pastures, forested areas and hillsides for the animals to roam. Lunch will be on your own at the park. After exploring the park, it will be time to head back to Dallas to shop at some of the stores that make the city a shopping mecca, such as North Park Mall or the Shops at Legacy. In the evening the group will visit the new Victory Park in downtown Dallas before sharing a final night of devotions together.

Day 5

This morning you will have an opportunity to minister to the people of the greater Dallas area by serving and interacting with students from a local school, church or orphanage. This rewarding experience will wrap up your time in Dallas.
