Day 1

Arrive in San Francisco and spend the day exploring the city by cable car. You will stop to visit places like Union Square, North Beach (Little Italy) and Lombard Street, the crookedest street in the world. You will spend the evening in Chinatown dining on delicious Chinese cuisine and shopping for great bargains on souvenirs, then close out the day with devotions at the hotel.

Day 2

Today you will visit the historic Golden Gate Bridge and marvel at this engineering masterpiece. You’ll take a walk through beautiful Golden Gate Park Botanical Gardens and Japanese Tea Garden, then top this exciting day off with dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf, home to world famous sea lions and the shops of Pier 39.

Day 3

Escape to Alcatraz to learn firsthand about America’s most infamous penitentiary and the prisoners who tried to escape. In the afternoon, the group will serve at a local ministry in the heart of the city, then visit Ghirardelli Square, a former chocolate factory that is now the site of numerous shops, restaurants and, of course, a whole lot of chocolate! Devotions at the hotel will round out the day.

Day 4

This morning the group will head down to the Monterey Peninsula where you will see some of the most beautiful coastline in Northern California. You will go on an exciting whale-watching trip and, depending upon the time of the year, you could see humpback whales, killer whales and dolphins. The group will spend the evening along Cannery Row, made famous by John Steinbeck in his novel of the same name. Now a neighborhood filled with restaurants and shops, it once was an industrial strip famous for canning sardines and other seafood. Evening devotions will be at the hotel in Monterey.

Day 5

After breakfast, the group will head to the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium, which houses over 500 species of plants and animals. You will have the opportunity to pet a live stingray, watch otters at play and learn about the future of our oceans and coastlines. After lunch, you will head back into the city for one last day in the "City by the Bay" before closing the day with devotions at the hotel in San Francisco.

Day 6

Time for some last-minute shopping before departing for home!
