Day 1
Arrive in Montréal and meet your Joshua Expeditions guide at the airport. Your expedition will begin with a quick tour of the city where you'll walk through Vieux Montréal, or Old Montreal, stopping to look at the Basilique Notre-Dame and wandering through the Place Jacques-Cartier, one of the most picturesque squares in the city. You will be encouraged to use your French skills throughout the day. Following dinner you'll enjoy Montréal by night before heading back to the hotel for devotions and a time of discussion.
Day 2
After breakfast, the group will transfer to Québec City. After a quick hotel check-in, the group will head out into the city, stopping by the Citadel, Le Château Frontenac , and Place-Royale. In the evening you will have a special dinner at Le Relais des Pins, a traditional sugar shack where you will learn about the maple syrup process. This area will give you many opportunities to practice your French! You might opt for going out in the evening to catch a movie in French before the day closes with devotions at the hotel.
Day 3
Today you will enjoy God's creation during either a boat excursion on Saint Lawrence River (in summer) or a ski excursion (in winter). During the afternoon you will take part in a Photo Rally which will take the group around downtown on foot. Some of the sites you'll see include the Parc des Champs-de-Bataille, the Plains of Abraham (where you'll attend the "Soldier of the Tower" activity), as well as the Citadel, Le Château Frontenac, and Place-Royale. The day will close with devotions at the hotel.
Day 4
After breakfast, you will enjoy a great service project where you will be encouraged to communicate with the locals using your French skills. In the afternoon, the group will head to Cascades Park for the remainder of the day. Your evening will close with devotions at the hotel.
Day 5
This morning the group will head back to Montréal, stopping along the way at Canyon Sainte-Anne and then Montmorency Falls where you will ride a cable car at the Chute Montmorency. You will have the rest of the day for shopping, a perfect way to practice your French, before concluding with dinner and a final night of devotions and discussion at the hotel.
Day 6
Before heading home today, the group will go to Le Biodôme de Montréal. Housing four distinct ecosystems, with more than 210 species of animals and 4,000 trees and plants, the Biodome is a unique opportunity to view and study a vast array of God's creation all in one place. One last stop at Olympic Village will round out this amazing trip to Canada!
